I recommend a number of outdoor locations across London that I have used and I know that work beautifully for maternity photo shoots. The home or studio setting is a wonderful alternative for newborns.
Paid at time of booking and includes the 2-hour photo shoot and one free digital image. Digital & print packages, plus optional extras, available in addition.
The simple answer is that it depends on you and the balance between how big your belly is and how comfortable you feel. Generally, the best time for a maternity shoot is from 7-8 months, when the belly is visible enough. Some maternity shoots are very close to the due date, so it is a personal choice that we can discuss to ensure you enjoy the photo shoot experience.
This is something we can discuss as it really depends on what you want from your photo shoot, and sometimes a combination of both outdoor and indoor locations can work. Being outdoors provides natural light, space for you to feel relaxed, and free to roam around interacting with nature; perfect for most photo shoots.
If you would like a photo shoot in the home then we can discuss your requirements and the best time of day depending on when and where your house gets the best natural light.
Do have a look at the locations page for my favourite outdoor locations across London.
Photo shoot sessions lasts up to 2 hours. This is more than enough time to capture beautiful, natural images, whilst also allowing time for snacks and changes of clothes (or nappies). If you would like more time then please let me know when booking.
I will send you an email with a free high resolution digital image a week after the photo shoot has taken place. The email will have a link to a secure, online photo gallery and the password for you to access this gallery. The email will also include instructions on how to select your preferred images in this gallery and how to purchase them.
1. First, just complete the contact form. The first steps are often the ones that hold us back, but don’t worry, it will be worth it.
2. I’ll then get back to you to arrange a chat about the photo shoot and to answer any of your questions. It is important you have a chance to chat to me as I want you to feel comfortable with me as your photographer.
3. If you’re super happy, then we will book the date and location in the diary, and I’ll send you a booking form.
4. Completion of the booking form and payment of the session fee will confirm your booking.
My calendar does get filled up, so do see if you can arrange your date with me as soon as you feel a photo shoot is for you.
